Camp Directors
Chitra Sukhu, Shruti Amin and Anna Talakkottur have known and worked with each other for over 13 years. Their collective goals, helped create NAK Camp and they are all dedicated to enriching the lives of children from many different walks of life. Chitra and Shruti both have two children of their own and Anna has worked one-on-one with a variety of children through her work as a nanny for over 15 years. They are excited about helping children to grow through inner happiness and creativity.
Chitra Sukhu

Born in Guyana to a family of Indian ancestry and raised mostly in the United States, Chitra Sukhu grew up in the many Sivananda Ashrams scattered around the world. She has practiced yoga and meditation daily since the tender age of three.
Sukhu now continues the distinguished legacy of her parents' life's work in the field she grew up with. Her mother, Leela Mata, has an ashram in Pennsylvania and frequently travels the world teaching ayurveda, yoga, Vedanta philosophy and meditation. Her father, Yogi Hari, a Master of Hatha, Raja, and Nada Yoga who is well known and respected around the world as a competent and inspiring teacher, has an ashram in Florida and has published over 20 CDs, and 3 books.
Sukhu is the founder of New Age Kids, Inc. with 10 guided meditation CD’s to her name. She has taught workshops and led retreats in Germany, Costa Rica, Switzerland and throughout the United States.
Sukhu is currently working on a yoga video for children, and has her diploma in Ayurvedic Sciences from Kerala Ayurveda. Sukhu is an accomplished Indian classical dancer in the ancient style of Bharata Natyam. She lives in Los Angeles with her two children, an eleven year old girl and a fifteen year old boy.
Shruti Amin
Shruti was born in the United States and grew up in Orange County, CA. She has always been fond of the arts and studied theatre in college. She graduated with a BA in Theatre Arts from State University of New York, Stony Brook. She moved to Ohio, with her first job out of college as an actress, where she performed and toured with a company of four actors to inner-city schools and community centers all around the greater Cleveland area. She fostered a love of teaching and working with children during her work through a series of workshops taught through the Inner City Youth Enrichment Program in Cleveland.
Shruti is currently working with Southern California Edison, creating training films and special projects for the IT Department. She runs special events for her division, and is in charge of all the multi-media events. She writes poetry and short stories in her spare time and is also currently working on a children’s book series about conservation and saving the planet. Shruti lives in Orange County with her two boys ages 13 and 9.
Anna Talakkottur
Anna was born in England. She has worked touring in middle schools throughout Los Angeles performing in shows teaching children morals. Anna has worked with children at Children of the Night - a runaway shelter - as a hotline crises worker. She has experience working with children from all walks of life, even those who have special disabilities. Anna feels challenged and fullfilled working with kids and currently travels as a nanny for various clients. She also works with the doctors at Kaiser Permanente, to better their skills in working with patients, by improving their care.
Anna has a great love for children and her unique personality and skills are a great benefit in her work as a children's entertainer. She has worked as a children's party entertainer in the greater Los Angeles area for over 15 years and has played a variety of characters, appealing to many different age-levels. Anna also has a certificate teaching children English abroad.
